A 45-year old nulliparous, woman presents with abnormal uterine bleeding. She describes some bleeding between menses and prolonged bleeding during menses. She has had irregular menstrual cycles for 25 years, ranging from 28 days to 8 months. The patient has a body mass index of 30kg/m2, type II diabetes and on physical exam the presence of facial hair is noted.
