A 31 year old female presents with pelvic pain and dyspareunia. The pain begins before the onset of menses, and continues until flow decreases. The patient and her husband wish to get pregnant, but have been unsuccessful for the past two years. She denies fever, chills and vaginal discharge.
Bimanual examination reveals a fixed, retroverted uterus, adnexal tenderness and nodularity of the uterosacral ligaments.
